Setting the Record Straight
Last week the Minneapolis Star-Tribune ran an op-ed from a Kerry defender that tried to turn the Swift Boat allegations into an attack against the Bush “smear machine”. The only problem is: neither Kerry nor the op-eds have successfully refuted the charges. Now two of the bloggers from Power Line, one of the early blogs to carry the Cambodia story, have written a response to the op-ed, and this has also been published by the Star-Tribune. In addition, the No Illusions blog has a good synopsis of this editorial page battle and its implications for mainstream media in general, entitled "A little vignette of major media in decline: The Minneapolis Star Tribune."
