Why Bush is NOT discussing the Swift Vets story
Mickey Kaus points out the obvious: for Bush to tell the Swift Vets to quit running their anti-Kerry ads would be breaking Federal Election law. Bush is prohibited from any kind of "coordination" with the 527's. To tell a 527 not to run ads is still "coordination". The irony of the Democrat campaign complaining loudly that the President refuses to break the law is thick enough to cut with a knife.
