The Discerning Texan
All that is necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.

This says it all
I think John Little over at Blogs of War has put into proper perspective just how overwhelming George W. Bush’s mandate is:
Listening to Eleanor Clift and other Democrats trying to spin the mandate is just hilarious. Blogs for Bush has some numbers that clearly illustrate the will of the American people:
2004: Bush 59,054,057 [updated]
2000: Gore 50,996,582
1996: Clinton 45,590,703*
1992: Clinton 44,908,254*
1988: Bush 47,946,000
1984: Reagan 54,455,000
1980: Reagan 43,901,812
Keep spinning Eleanor. Nobody’s listening.
Add to that that President Bush is one of only two Presidents to ever win re-election and gain additional seats in both houses. The other was FDR. This is hardly “selected not elected”…this is the largest popular vote mandate of any US President. As in ever. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, mainstream media.
