Memogate III - A deliberate Democratic "plant" with network complicity
Not to be outdone by Dan Rather ("Memogate") and Sandy Berger's ("Memogate II") exploits, the story of the false talking points memo reported by ABC News as having been circulated by "Senate Republicans" in the midst of the Schiavo controversy, now has been shown to be almost certainly a forgery. The outrage is the so-called "standards" that ABC used to check its story before going both barrels against the Republican party. Like the first Memogate, this story demonstrates clearly that when it comes to the verification of negative "news", getting a planted Democratic hit piece on a national news program is as easy as A-B-C.
