Hillary-related misappropriation appears to have merit
That pesky cloud of scandal just keeps following Hillary Clinton around no matter where she goes; and it has re-appeared again! I mean it only seems like yesterday when we were talking about things like Whitewater, and Travelgate, missing subpoenaed papers suddenly turning up on her coffee table "out of nowhere", and her loving husband (while still President) pardoning hardened criminals to help his wife raise money and garner the Orthodox Jewish vote in New York, etc... You know, fun things like that...
Anyway, just as she is appearing to suddenly have found her "inner right wing" on issues like protecting the unborn (always a biggie with Ms. Clinton...), in a shameless attempt to bamboozle any mentally-challenged conservative who she might fool into supporting her--as you may have read in recent days, the finance director of her 2000 Senate campaign has now been indicted for violating campaign finance laws, surrounding a Hollywood fundraiser benefiting...Hillary! And the government appears to have some pretty damning evidence in the case (hint: follow the other links in the linked Power Line article too..). And, as our friends at that esteemed blog rightfully ask, just why is it that you see very little coverage of this in the national press, when Hillary is considered a virtual "shoo-in" as the front-runner for 2008 on the Democrat side?--while at the same time the very same press just can't seem to get enough of a golfing trip that Tom DeLay took (which indeed has opened up an entirely new can of worms for the Dems...). It does kind of boggle the mind, unless you finally come to the conclusion that the New York Times and Washington Post and the three over the air networks are, in effect, nothing more than organized and motivated propaganda arms of the Democratic party.
But a delicious question does start to materialize at this point: just what course will this finance director take, when and if he is faced with either prison or turning states evidence on Ms. Clinton? Stay tuned, this could prove to be entertaining, indeed.
