The sad state of the "Party of the People"

Jayson over at PoliPundit hits the nail squarely on the head:

Living in the Past

The media and the
old Democratic Party, that is.

Ahem.

So, let me see if I have this straight.

Presently, the lead spokespersons for the “Party of the People” are:

1) The former Governor of Vermont (pop. 600,000; 99% white), whose presidential campaign blew apart like a Ford Pinto after a rear-end collision.

2) The guy who wanted “peace at any cost,” but who then lost 49 out of 50 states to the evil Tricky Dick.

3) The guy who somehow managed to lose to Chimpy McBushitler, despite a historic wealth mania, 3.9 percent unemployment, a late hit by the partisan media, and a job market so freakin’ hot, kids right of college were being granted five-figure “signing bonuses” and stock options too.

4) A former KKK member and currently-senile U.S. Senator from West Virginia.

5) A guy who drove his car off a bridge in a drunken stupor, killing his passenger, but who then waited for about 14 hours before even reporting it to the police.

6) A former stockbroker, current limosuine liberal, and space-cadet Junior Senator from Cal-ee-forn-ee-ah.

7) A multi-millionaire socialist who made his leftism bones cutting a scathing mock documentary about his state’s largest employer, and a company upon which literally millions upon millions of Americans have been able to retire.
And people wonder why they’ve not won a national majority in 29 years, despite the media, academia, and dead felons voting six times in multiple precincts!

And people also wonder why they’ve gone from holding upwards of 270 U.S. House seats to holding barely more than 200 seats – in less than 15 years!
Sheesh.

Harry S. Truman is rolling over in his grave.
