The Left's conception of "Free Debate in the Arena of Ideas"...
... is not to debate the other side and let the public choose; rather it it basically keep the Arena to only one point of view--theirs. The fact that this has always been the modus operendi of the left since the Russian Revolution of 1917--and that they continue to utilize this "vehicle" to this day--speaks volumes of how the left really thinks that their core beliefs will fare in the light of day, under the free exchange and debate of ideas.
This has always been theLeft's dirty little secret: deep down they know that if the public truly understood where it wanted to take this country, their political rubes in the Democrat party would never again see the light of day in a fair election. And so the suppression of free speech continues--even in the blogosphere; the truth does tend to frighten the guilty into doing really stupid and transparent things.
Stalin and Hitler would have been so proud ...
