Senate to US Enemies: "Wait us out, we'll Cave"
Although I am almost glad about the Senate vote from this narrow perspective--it will allow Bush to veto it that much faster--it is nevertheless a shameful day both for the Senate and for the State of Nebraska. For a state that is supposed to represent Mom and apple pie, Nebraska has now turned into the "Benedict Arnold State"; they should just go ahead and change the license plates. Chuck Hagel and Ben Nelson will go down in history along with the backstabbers in the House in what has been one of the most shameful episodes in the history of the US Congress.
