Repression in Venezuela
Glenn Reynolds links to a story about the last day that Venezuela station RCTV was allowed to broadcast. As you have probably heard the Marxist thug Hugo Chavez has pulled the plug on a private televesion network he deemed to be "too critical". As you can see on the video, the employees of the station going off the air did not go quietly.
The people of Venezuela aren't happy about it either. This weekend riot police were clamping down on protests against the repressive Chavez government. Turkish News reports:

Using water cannon, police dispersed thousands of stone-throwing protesters outside Venezuela's telecom authority, which ordered the station off the air.There is video of the rioting here.
