The Discerning Texan

You've probably heard the old joke, "World to end today. Women and Blacks hit hardest." Well the folks at McClatchy News, perhaps the most blatantly biased anti-Bush, anti-war media outlet in the country, simply had to outdo that old joke and at the same time, give a towering example of press derangement over the War:

At what's believed to be the world's largest cemetery, where Shiite Muslims aspire to be buried and millions already have been, business isn't good.

A drop in violence around Iraq has cut burials in the huge Wadi al Salam cemetery here by at least one-third in the past six months, and that's cut the pay of thousands of workers who make their living digging graves, washing corpses or selling burial shrouds.

Few people have a better sense of the death rate in Iraq .

The headline of the story says it all: "As violence falls in Iraq, cemetery workers feel the pinch."

You really have to try and find the storm cloud in the silver lining that is Iraq these days. And McClatchy came through. Much sympathy is directed toward the poor gravediggers and other burial-related jobs that are now suffering because we are being successful in reducing the violence.

You just can't make this stuff up...
