So What Next after the Great Betrayal? How about State Planning for EVERYONE! (No Joke)

Barney Frank, one of the "architects" of the Fannie/Freddie implosion has a bright idea: How about salary caps for ALL companies?

Maybe Susan and Arlen (who knows, maybe even Olympia and George!) will vote for that one too!

And no, I'm not kidding. They are moving on all fronts; they want the whole enchilada: state censorship, state control--not only of the banks but of energy companies, takeover of your 401K, hell they may even want me in some re-education camp someday (and you too)! I'm sure not too many folks will miss me.

Welcome to North Venezuela, the newest worker's paradise!

After all we mustn't get "bogged down in distraction, delay, and politics as usual". Right?

But don't take if from me--here is Mark Steyn at the Corner:

Commissar Frank says we need to take the glorious people's revolution to the next stage:

Congress will consider legislation to extend some of the curbs on executive pay that now apply only to those banks receiving federal assistance, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank said.

“There’s deeply rooted anger on the part of the average American,” the Massachusetts Democrat said at a Washington news conference today.

He said the compensation restrictions would apply to all financial institutions and might be extended to include all U.S. companies.

But rental income on Charlie Rangel's vacation dacha will still be tax-free.

We are three weeks in. Oh and the cost of the "stimulus"?--your guess is as good as mine.
