Covering (Badly) for Pelosi's Serial Lying

All The One's horses and all The One's men.... will not be able to save Nancy Pelosi from her own (videotaped) lies.

My prediction: a complete retreat by the Dems from all investigations of CIA "enhanced interrogations", legal briefs from Bush DOJ lawyers, etc. Sure, Obama and Emanuel would like to get their hands on that District Court spot--although I personally do not see any way they could ever get 2/3 of the Senate to vote for impeaching Bybee, considering that 58% the country believes that it is not worth sacrificing thousands of American lives (is it worth any?) to allow a little water to be poured down the snout of a Daniel Pearl-decapitating, mass murderer. Sorry Barack: holier than thou morality posturing aside, that is a "No Sale" to most Americans. In fact I think it makes more and more people wonder just how far Obama would go to protect our lives.

And now, when you add Pelosi's "I did not have sex with that woman..." moment to the mix; to pursue active hearings to "investigate" these matters--or even if BHO were to allow his puppet Holder to issue subpoenas or indictments--it would also mean throwing Pelosi overboard to the legal wolves: highly-paid defense lawyers defending the Bush DOJ would almost certainly put her under oath in "discovery", and a LOT more details about Jay Rockefeller and other Democrats' complicity in and hypocrisy about their role in the enhanced interrogations.

I just don't see it happening. San Fran Nan's bone-headed video denial to the entire country has single-handedly given the advantage to the Republicans in this whole "scandal". For the partisan lefty jackals to press forward now would be beyond stupid; it would be almost suicidal.

On the other hand, the Dems have self-destructed before; and if anyone is capable of making lemons from lemonade, it is the looney left. Let them try...
